The parents’ organization of Notre Dame School in New Hyde Park sponsored a recent week-long circus visit from the National Circus Project. The program introduces circus skills such as stilt-walking, plate-spinning and juggling for physical education and circus themes in classes from literature, spelling and vocabulary to math, science and art. Students ended the week by showing off their new skills in an evening circus performance for a sell-out crowd of their families and friends. John-Paul Rogers shows his plate spinning expertise as Matt Ferrante and Fernando Robayo look on. Above, Allison Slewinsky and Nicole Smith show off the latest in clown nose fashion!
