Students to hold baby shower for unborn

Kayla Dolan and Caitlin Bowe, recipients of  the Maureen Nolan Scholarship for pro-life activities, are holding their second annual baby shower in support of the unborn child. The event, open to all, will take place Sunday October 21 from 1-5 p.m. at the home of Kayla Dolan, 500 Adams Ave, West Hempstead (phone: 516-485-7505). All gifts and donations are for the babies of Momma’s House, which is dedicated to ensuring that any pregnant young woman on Long Island can have a realistic opportunity to choose life for her child even in the most difficult of circumstances.

Needed items for the babies of Momma’s House include diapers (large), bottles, sippy cups, baby monitors, baby toiletries (shampoo, powder, ointment, cream), clothes (2t and up), crib sheets, Metro Cards, paper goods, cleaning supplies, and anything else a mother or baby would need in everyday living.

Kayla, right, and Caitlin, shown here at a recent rally for religious freedom, are graduates of St. Thomas the Apostle School in West Hempstead. Kayla currently attends Sacred Heart Academy in Hempstead, and Caitlin is a student at Kellenberg Memorial High School, Uniondale.
